The history of Lotus cars dates back more than half a century when development was spearheaded by the legendary genius of Colin Chapman. Launched into production in 2009 and continuing through 2021, the Evora was intended to capture a broader market for enthusiasts seeking a more suitable road car than the earlier competition derived Elise and Exige. Among the many features, the Evora offered a more spacious trunk, seating for taller passengers, and rear seating for two-smaller passengers. One of very few cars produced with mid-engine and 2+2 configuration, the Evora 400 (first offered in 2015) delivered a powerful punch for passengers via a 400 hp 3.5 liter 24-valve V6 supercharged engine with an intercooler.
With a close ratio 6-speed manual and torsen type limited slip, the Evora 400 catapulted to 60 mph in an impressive 4.6 seconds and achieved a 172mph top speed. All this power was carefully managed via improved aerodynamics for the 400 which generated an additional 51 lbs of downforce. Exceptional engineering for the epoxy-bonded lightweight aluminum chassis and composite body included four-wheel forged alloy independent suspension, Bilstein shocks, Lotus/AP Racing 4-piston alloy brake calipers over 4-wheel disc brakes, Bi-Xenon headlights, ESP/Traction Control, and driver/passenger airbags. Available in North America, just 150 400 series Evoras were delivered in 2017.

The first and only owner took delivery of the car in Western Washington where it has remained under their singular care since new. Regularly serviced for fluids and general inspections at the selling dealership, the car retains the original factory paint and the odometer indicates just over 10,000 original miles. The most recent service was performed in September 2024 including new front brake rotors, coolant flush, a new drive belt, and an ECU update/flash.
Remarkably preserved and factory correct, today this Evora 400 presents with excellent factory original paint over factory original composite body panels. Handsomely optioned, the exterior finishes have been maintained to a very high level. Factory alloy wheels are finished in gloss black fronting red cast alloy brake calipers over ventilated disc brakes. The Bi-Xenon lighting is covered with clear and crisp factory lensing and the taillights and side marker lighting are also in excellent condition. The factory tinted glass, dual Powerfold exterior mirrors, and the distinctive split rear wing are in exceptional condition. The rear hatch opens to reveal a spacious trunk able to house a full-sized golf bag and clubs should the next owner find themselves distracted from the joys of performance driving from behind the wheel.
The interior is visually stunning in every respect featuring beautifully contrasting red and black leather seating with contrasting white stitching, and a leather wrapped steering wheel with a red center positioning stripe. With just 10,000 miles indicated, there are no significant signs of wear in any areas including the driver’s seat bolsters. Of particular interest to taller drivers, the Evora has more space for up to 6’ 5” drivers and with the refined aluminum bonded chassis, a revised narrow door sill which makes for easier entrance and exit. The dashboard features backlit instrumentation in a central binnacle while the dashboard houses air conditioning, full Satellite Navigation, and premium sound including the optional subwoofer. Additional interior features include a factory anti-theft system, three selectable driving modes (Drive/Sport/Race) and rear seating which is suitable for children and convenient as added storage.
Visible through the rear glass, the engine compartment and powerful supercharged V6 engine have been well-maintained, regularly serviced, and properly detailed, displaying correct factory finishes and factory specified hardware, with no alterations since new, other than dealer authorized services and required maintenance. The underside of the car is further supportive of the low miles with just minor evidence of use visible to the nearly new components.
