Jason Harris - Founder

Petrol in the veins and always playing with cars - Jason’s interest in automobiles began at an early age with influence from his father with exposure to air-cooled Porsches and VWs. A high point early in life was the Olympus Rally in 1986 for the final round of the FIA Group B rally cars, which Jason attended with his father. The cars and drivers were bigger than life, and all these decades later…they still are. The event and that era of motorsports have been a cornerstone of Jason’s automotive desires ever since.

During high school and college, Jason worked for a prominent Seattle area car collector named Tom Armstrong that turned the passion up all the way. The six years with Mr. Armstong grew an extensive appreciation for mid-1960s vintage race cars, as well as the 1930s custom coachwork era cars. The collection included rare cars such as a 1956 Jaguar D-Type, a 1963 Corvette Grand Sport, a 1966 Ford GT40, a 1931 Duesenberg SJ, and a 1931 Alfa Romeo 6C 1750 among others. To say it was a dream job as a teenager would be an understatement.

As the founder of Northwest European, Jason spends all of his waking moments in the automotive world looking for special cars to acquire and trade. With a personal affinity for motorsport inspired design and history, Jason’s personal collection has ranged from early air-cooled Porsche 911s, through Group A rally homologation specials, vintage trucks, and several Massimo Tamburini design era two wheeled machines – from both Ducati and MV Agusta.
