Ah yes, another GT3 RS. There is a reason these get everyone excited. They are just that damn good. Pick your poison - 996, 997, 991 - you cannot go wrong. I have an ongoing conversation with one friend about these '16 GT3 RS examples, and where they might be the long term secret sauce for a select group of enthusiasts - those that want to drive them, use them, and laugh all the way into the future.

The 991 chassis GT3 RS was introduced in the US for the 2016 model year, and quickly sold out. While numerous cars were ordered on spec for the dealer network, many more were customer ordered with thoughtful choices in the myriad of available options. This car is one of the latter - showing a tasteful, yet restrained checking of the boxes.

The engine was punched out to 4.0L from the GT3’s 3.8L displacement and fitted with such race bits as titanium connecting rods in the search for 500hp. This leads to a very light weight and free revving drivetrain, that spins quickly to the 8,800rpm redline. Coupled with the 7 speed dual clutch PDK transmission, it is intoxicating to rip off some full throttle runs, just to feel and hear that iconic engine.

With the optional carbon ceramic brakes at each corner, this RS is ready for track day duty if called upon. The 991 GT3 RS sits on massive Michelin tires, measuring in at 265/35-20 front and 325/30-21 rear. These happen to be the same size at the Porsche 918 Spyder. Heady company indeed.

Here's a driver's car from a good friend and true enthusiast. The car has driver miles on it, and has been maintained without hesitation. It is as tight and crisp as any other example I have had through the shop here in the last few years. I'm in love with the spec; subtle overall, with some great interior options - custom tailoring, deviated stitching, and no clock dash wart.
