Am I Seeing Double?

Yes, yes you are.  We have two 1981 Mercedes-Benz Gelandewagens in stock right now. One diesel, one petrol. One highly original, one with a recent repaint. Two flavors, depending on what recipe you are looking for.

The “Gelandewagen” is a body on frame truck that was originally developed for the military in the 1970s at the suggestion of the Shah of Iran (a noted car collector, and large M-B shareholder). The truck was developed throughout the 1970s and ultimately manufactured in partnership with Steyr-Daimler-Puch in Austria. The civilian version of the truck launched in 1979 as the W460 chassis, available in both 2450mm and 2800mm versions.

Providing tremendous value, these currently under appreciated classic trucks provide superior engineering and comfort over trucks from the market touted Land Rover and Toyota offerings (to be fair, I love them too, but the MB's are in a different class when it comes to engineering).
