Afternoon Interlude - Pebble Beach Motoring Classic Kickoff Party
The car world is descending on the Monterey Peninsula next week as you know. Monterey Car Week is the biggest car event of the year, with so many events it is hard to even consider listing them here in this letter. From Pebble Beach Concours to The Quail, from the Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion to Werks Reunion...oh, and a small event being celebrated across the full week -- 100 years of BMW. And Concorso Italiano. And the auctions. And....well, you get the idea.
If you have never been, go ahead and make plans for next year. This year is already sold out unless you want to sleep in the back of your car! It is a bucket list event, except that it should really be on your calendar each and every year.
Yesterday I had the joy of attending the kickoff party for the Pebble Beach Motoring Classic in Kirkland, WA. This is an official part of the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance, and is a wonderful ~1500 mile tour on the West Coast from the Seattle area all the way down to Pebble Beach over the course of a week. The cars must apply and be accepted to the tour, and are world class cars. Many of them are current or past Pebble Beach Concours entrants.
Enough with all the words -- here is a link to the pictures, just a small gallery as I only had a short time to walk around and look at cars, due to all the friends I ran into and spoke with. I had fun there yesterday and thought some of you might enjoy the pictures and a 5 minute break from your day.
Hope you all are well here in August of 2016!
Warm Regards,
Jason Harris
