OVERVIEW

After more than seventy years of excellence, the iconic Porsche 911 continues to reign among the most enduring and cabable sports cars ever built. Available in several configurations and refined over decades of development, Porsche has tirelessly evolved these cars incorporating lessons from racing, advanced technology, and the latest in manufacturing developments. Yet through all these advances, one thing remains: the emotional connection to open air performance driving. Nowhere is this more evident than in the Targa 4 GTS. 

In 2019, the last year of the second phase, the 991.2 series concluded, making way for the 992. Notably heralded for the retractable roof, the seamlessly engineered Targa reconfigures the roof, rear glass, and Targa bar. Within 13 seconds, the roof effortlessly disappears into the rear of the car. This variability offers both the solid construction of a coupe with the joys of an open cockpit, all at the touch of a switch. Performance from the 450 hp 3.0 Liter engine coupled with the 7-speed manual transmission and all-wheel drive results in exhilarating, comfortable, and seamless driving experiences beautifully engineered in the 911 Targa 4 GTS. Today, highly optioned manual transmission examples such as this are considered among the most desirable of the modern collectable Porsches.

This beautifully finished 5,600-mile example was produced at the Porsche factory July 16, 2018, and delivered August 29, 2018, to a California Porsche dealership. According to the itemized window sticker, the car was delivered with a remarkable $25,000.00 worth of additional cost-added options including:

Over the past four years, this Targa 4 GTS has remaining under western states ownership including the current Washington State owner. A 10k service was performed in June 2019. At that time, 945 miles were recorded when serviced. Today 5,600 miles are indicated consistent with the miles recorded on the clean, accident-free Carfax.

Today this Targa 4 GTS presents essentially as new in beautiful gleaming black with stunning and elegant Espresso/Cognac interior. The paint is excellent throughout with beautiful gloss, deep surface luster, and exceptional finishes in keeping with the 5,600 miles accumulated since delivery. The black 20” Porsche wheels are in excellent condition with no curb rash, revealing contrasting red calipers poised over massive disc brakes. Lighting, glass, and lenses are all in new condition throughout including the clean script lettering and Porsche branded details all of which appear showroom fresh. The Targa bar, black roof and black wheels deliver an impressive, wicked stance, accented by tinted side and rear glass which adds to the stealthy nature of this car. 

The Espresso/Cognac leather interior must be counted as among the best color offered for a Porsche. All the finishes convey a near new feel including the leather seating surfaces, carbon fiber details, and premium finishes used throughout the cockpit. The center console housing the 7-speed shifter and other precision controls is handsomely arrayed with well laid out features, offering easy access to the many convenience features and natural ergonomics. The dashboard, sport chrono, and optional white dial gauges properly illuminate, displaying key operational features and engine status at the touch of your fingertips. The carpets, door panels, and other interior surfaces are excellent throughout with virtually no wear evident. The Targa roof and expansive rear glass are in exceptionally nice condition raising and lowering at the touch of a button without hesitation per factory specifications. When fixed in the closed position, the cabin is quiet and brilliantly engineered allowing for air-conditioned enjoyment, listening to Bose premium surround sound, while jaunts to 60 mph are readily available at a moment’s whim.

The engine compartment has been thoughtfully maintained and serviced per recommendations. Porsche factory components are all present and in excellent cosmetic condition, though largely concealed from view in this modern and efficient design. Inside the front storage area, ample room is available for cargo or small travel bags, also consistently preserved in factory condition. The underside of the car, suspension and driveline castings are nicely maintained, clean, and free from any significant marks or notable damage, further confirming the remarkably low miles, indoor storage, and excellent care this car has received since new.  

This Targa 4 GTS is an absolute pleasure to drive. The 7-Speed gearbox is smooth and easy to shift either with sporting intenr or simply cruising in daily traffic. Road manners range from docile to exhilarating, without compromising safety or comfort, delivering a confident ride and excellent feedback at the wheel. Even with the Targa roof open, the ride is quiet and wind noise at a minimum. This Targa 4 GTS is offered with a copy of the original window sticker, options listing, and a set of owner’s manuals.
