OVERVIEW
The Porsche 991 came to the market and was a big step up from the 997 chassis in terms of ergonomics, torsional rigidity, and even curb weight. The 991 Carrera S uses steel for the structure of the car, and aluminum for the doors, fenders, roof, and trunklid. All in, it tilts the scales at 3,120 lbs. which is 88 lbs. lighter than a 997 S.
Performance is excellent with the Carrera S and PDK combo. 0-60 comes up in just 3.9 seconds and rips off a ¼ mile at 12.0 @116.5mph. It will handily dispose of most other cars on any back road.
The car here was delivered in Carrara White over Agate Leather. It is a stunning color combination in person, and was unique to the 2012 991 offering. The condition of this two-owner car is better than expected with just over 32,000 miles – like new. The paint is factory fresh on all panels, and no blemishes on the interior, nor scrapes on any wheel – a truly pampered example. Even the undercarriage and suspension look new.
The few modifications to the car from stock include an upgraded tweeter set-up with factory Burmester cover, front clear bra, S-PASM Front Lip Spoiler, tinted windows, and the addition of a fully integrated Passport 9500ci Radar/Laser detector and shifter, with controls in the center console, and a read out integrated in overhead console.
Mechanically the car is perfect – it has been back to the original selling dealership for all service. Service records and stamps are present. It had the 40K service completed in 2017 (proactively at 26K miles), and had an annual oil change service in September of 2018. The car also has an extended transferable CPO warranty through November 2019.
