OVERVIEW
It is always a treat to come across a Porsche of this vintage with just two owners. It is even more of a treat to find every document in the folder, all the way back to the original purchase order in 1979. This car has been used and enjoyed, while loved by both families that have been caretakers.
This car was bought new from Seattle University Porsche/Audi in November 1979 at an original cost of $32,141, including a 2nd full set of BBS wheels, and paint to sample. In 1993, the second owner bought the car, through his friends at Aker’s Porsche who have been servicing the car since 1984. The documentation file is extensive and impressive, including some neat items from the selling dealer in 1979.
Currently showing 164K miles, the car has been serviced with new oil return tubes and a fresh oil service, front hood shocks, and brake fluid flush within the last 6 months.
Exterior - Paint is nice overall for age – original paint on most panels. Repainted panels (rear engine lid, RR quarter, and LF fender are done to a decent standard many years ago). Color code is 635-9-3 per the tag, which is noted as a “Paint To Sample –PTS” color, on the original order form. Some chips on front bumper, and hood. H-4 Headlights.
Engine/Drivetrain - Strong 3.0L engine, original to the car. Some minor seepage visible underneath, however car can sit for a week and does not leak onto the ground. Runs very well, and the transmission shifts smoothly with no noticeable issues even cold. Emissions equipment appears to be intact, but air pump is currently disconnected.
Suspension/Brakes/Wheels - Factory 16” Fuchs, 205/55-16 and 225/50-16 Bridgestone tires. Please note that the car was delivered new with two sets of wheels – the Fuchs on it today, and another set of 16” BBS Modular wheels that are no longer with the car. Car was lowered when new by the selling dealer. Brakes work great, and car is both compliant and sporty with current suspension set-up.
Interior - Original factory black leather interior. Original carpets, original headliner, sun visors, sliding sunroof, Kenwood aftermarket radio with ADS door speakers. Please note the original floor mat carpet pieces are in the front trunk area in an unused condition. Car also has a set of Lloyd carpet mats (not pictured) that protect the existing carpet mats. Minor carpet separation under driver’s side rear seat, as seen in picture. Fitted with period UNGO theft deterrent system in glovebox, with siren in rear engine area.
This Porsche 911 SC is offered with original owner’s manual, service book, tool kit (never used), air compressor (never used), factory spare tire (never inflated), invoices and original sales documents, original selling dealer leather key wallet, and a car cover.
